1 Week Southern Lakes and Kluane National Park

| Day 1: ( D ) |
We will pick you up at the airport or the hotel and show you the main attractions of Whitehorse – the S.S. Klondike, the Log Skyscraper, the Old Log Church and the historic Whitepass & Yukon Railroad Station. On the way to Mt. Lorne Bed & Breakfast, about 30 km south of town, we will stop at Miles Canyon. |
Day 2: ( B, L, D )

Today we will show you the actual Southern Lakes region. The first stop will be at Emerald Lake. Due to its colors it is also called Rainbow Lake. Afterwards we will come through Carcross, a small historical town on the banks of Lake Bennett. Don’t miss to visit the Matthew Watson General Store and the Carcross Barracks. We continue the trip with going to Tagish. Here the Tagish Lake meets the Marsh Lake. Take a stroll along the lake or just enjoy the scenery. Subsequently, it goes on the Alaska Highway. We are driving by Marsh Lake, where we will stop for several small photo stops. |
| Day 3: ( B, D ) |
Even on horseback, the Southern Lakes region has something to offer. For a few hours we will ride comfortably through picturesque terrain. In the afternoon we go to Whitehorse, to give you the chance to buy some souveniers. We will spend the evening with a BBQ on our huge deck.

| Day 4: ( B, L, D ) |
After a thorough briefing into the ATV’s, we will head out through bushes and open areas across the summit of Mt. Mc Intyre (1597m), to the beautiful Fish Lake. You will have unbelievable views over Whitehorse and the surrounding mountains and lakes (for a more detailed description see ATV – Day Trip). |
| Day 5: ( B, L, D ) |
Today we will take the canoe, to explore a part of the famous Yukon River . We will start with the canoes at the Rotary Park , right in center of Whitehorse . After a short time we will leave town behind us and are surrounded only by nature. We will paddle to the delta of the Takhini River , where we are being picked up. From here we can go to the Yukon Wildlife Preserve ( this trip is optional ). Later on you can enjoy a relaxing dip into the Takhini Hot Springs ( also optional ). |
Day 6: ( B, D )

Today we will get up early, have a good breakfast and head out on the Alaska Highway towards Haines Junction. This is the base points for the Kluane Nationalpark. At the visitor center we will get lots of information about the geology, habitants and vegetation within the park. Afterwards we will take a hike on one of the numerous hiking trails. With a little luck we can observe some bears. If you want to see the park with its glaciers from above, you can undertake a sightseeing flight (optional). Before we head back to the B & B, we will make a stop at the picturesque Kathleen Lake. |
| Day 7: ( B, L, D ) |
Today we are heading into direction Whitehorse again. Shortly after the downtown area we will leave the Alaska Hwy to get on to the Fish Lake Road . This path will become a gravel road, which brings us to the Haeckl Hill Road cutoff. From here on it goes only uphill. Just before the summit we have to park the SUV to climb up the last few hundred meters to the top on foot. We will walk around to look down in all directions. On the way home we can stop in town to give you the chance to go shopping for souvenirs. |

After a farewell breakfast we will take you to the airport or downtown.

The price is the subject 5 % GST
Due to the Canadian law, participants of this trip are required to sign a “Waiver of Liability” form.
